I fully concur with Simon Bowkett, Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate for South Dorset, that Dorset County Hospital’s A&E is worthy of praise, not just now during the extreme pressure they are under, but always.

It is, though, obvious that Bowkett is trying to make political propaganda by stating that all the crisis that is in the NHS is totally down to the present government. Surely he must concede that the previous Labour government had a major influence on all our public services by their uncontrolled immigration policy. Don’t forget that the NHS is a National Health Service, not an international one.

Bowkett also promises that a future Labour government will hire 8,000 more GPs and 20,000 more nurses but does not say how this will be financed.

Due to this it is worth remembering that his last government left the country with nothing, so it is amazing we have still got numerous public services available, let alone a functioning NHS.

As he says: “This May will be a stark choice for voters,” but do we really want another Labour government and Miliband runn-ing the country?
