IF JURASSICA ever gets off the ground, or in a hole in the ground, does it have to be sited on Portland, which is essentially an outer Mongolian cul-de-sac when it comes to access, or could it go into a hole in the ground in the New Forest or even somewhere near, say, Birmingham, where, I hear, there is fabulous motorway access?

The point is: does Jurassica have to be on the Jurassic Coast?

Is it to be an educational ‘charity’ or just a cash cow, sorry, a dosh dinosaur?

They built a prison and borstal on Portland precisely because of its inaccessibility and yet now, apparently, it is suitable for Di(s)noLand.

One thing is certain: never underestimate the capacity of the fossils on the council to louse things up: they can’t even organise the Weymouth Park and Ride, or get buses to meet trains at Weymouth station.

If South West trains organise day tours to Jurassica I’ll wager punters won’t be forced to walk to Debenhams to pick up their bus. I even hear talk of a monorail link.

Yeah, right: the pie in the sky link.

I’m all for jobs for the boys in the area but this is never going to happen folks.

The lottery funders aren’t stupid. Supreme communicator that he is, David Attenborough should put the kibosh on it right now before the only dinosaur seen around these parts is the white-elephantosaurus.
