TED HEATH, our prime minster at the time when we were asked if we wanted to join the common market (not the European Union), argued that there would be 100 million customers for the products from our factories.

We were fooled.

In fact we became the 60 million customers for their countries, such as Germany, France, Spain, etc.

We drive their cars, which we pay more for them than they do.

Our supermarket shelves are full of vegetables and fruit from Europe.

We need to help our own farmers, not small holdings in Europe.

We should not be contributing to thousands of unelected bureaucrats' salaries and expenses.

So please do not be had again by our politicians.

Each prime minster since Mr Heath, Mr Major, Mr Blair, Mr Brown have led us farther into this great big mire that employs thousands of unelected faceless people siting at desks thinking up stupid new laws and regulations.

We have enough people in our own civil service like the justice department letting bad criminals back onto our streets.

They wish to stay in the EU so that the big international companies can move money about freely.

We would be much better off not paying out billions we could spend on our NHS, schools and welfare.

We should be in control of our borders, our laws and tax systems.

Remember they need us more than we need them.

Mr Cameron is saying he might have the referendum this year, possibly June. He may or may not manage to get some small concessions, but, in the main, the EU faceless will find ways to make us fall into line with what Angela Merkel decides.
