WORDSWORTH held in high regard the Daffodil, wrote a beautiful poem about the bulb, the harbinger of spring, certainly for lot of us this is true.

The bright yellow flower heads making a statement along the verges welcoming in spring, but why each year are there, is there someone or a group that find it necessary to what looks like kicking off their heads, leaving the destruction for us all to marvel at instead of being able to be cheered by natures offerings to a new year It would be easy to blame the young for such wanton vandalism, only the perpetrators know who finds it necessary to carry out destruction of an innocent flower but perhaps we need to bear in mind that children learn mostly from there elders and supposedly betters ! One wonders what will be next on the agenda for annihilation?

Perhaps the frustration, anger of the person persons who does the removal of enjoyment from others could be put to a better use, of making Dorchester a better place to live, use some community spirit for the great good and perhaps take your rubbish home for example.
