I AM writing in total disgust at a parking fine I incurred on Friday, July 8, I am an OAP and have been coming to Weymouth for over 70 years.
Coming down from Portland I urgently needed to go to the toilet and as I am suffering from a cancer condition I urgently needed to go to the toilet after going round and around, the only car park I could find near a toilet was behind Brewers Quay building.
I parked the car and ran over to the toilet in Brewers Quay and returned 12 minutes later and drove off. Imagine my shock when last Saturday, July 16, I received a parking ticket for £100!
I know Weymouth has a car park problem, and I have always parked legally but on this occasion I had little choice as a lot of parking areas were closed due to the food festival.
I feel very annoyed about this, which works out at £8 per minute!
