A KEEN bearded cyclist in his boater, jacket and bow tie would certainly raise a few smiles in this day and age.

But in the late 1800s his tricycle was probably one of the most recent inventions. It's 3.15pm in West Wycombe High Street and not a sign of angry motorist tooting their horn. Lovely!

Just the shire horses pulling a large wagon and two boys resting amid a stack of chairs.
