Joy on the road for Dorchester

MAIDENHEAD UNITED 1 DORCHESTER TOWN 2

BEN Watson found the target as Dorchester finally ended their losing run on the road in Blue Square Bet South.

Having suffered four straight defeats away from home in the league, the omens did not look good for the county town outfit when Maidenhead took the lead after three minutes, but the visitors raised their game after that to run out deserved winners.

Watson equalised with a fine finish before a second-half own goal sealed the victory - Town's first in the league since September.

Actually, our league form before this cup run was excellent, far better than could have been hoped for.

However, I do feel that if the club wants to move forwards, it needs someone with experience at a higher level to guide it there.
