WEYMOUTH 0 CHESHAM UNITED 3 (Potton 18, 39, Si Thomas 54)
JAMES Potton did the majority of the damage as Chesham put a huge dent in the Terras’ play-off hopes at the Bob Lucas Stadium this afternoon.
The lively midfielder netted twice in the first half before setting up the third for Simon Thomas after the break, as Weymouth went down in subdued fashion.
Mark Ford and Ben Joyce both wasted good openings in the opening 20 minutes but apart from that the hosts created very little and were second best for much of the contest.
To rub even more salt into the wounds the Terras then lost Scott Walker to a straight red card following a collision with Potton with two minutes remaining.
Referee Lewis Price gave the decision after consulting with one of his assistants, but it looked extremely harsh.
The victory stretches Chesham’s unbeaten run to 10 games.
