KYLE Critchell and Jamie Symes have joined Simon Evans and Michael Walker on the injury list ahead of the Terras’ opening Calor League Premier Division fixture at St Neots Town tomorrow (3pm).

Critchell, pictured above, is waiting to find out the full extent of a back problem though there are fears he has suffered a slipped disc.

And boss Brendon King has confirmed that fellow midfielder Symes injured his groin in training although it is not yet known how long both men will be out for.

There is some good news for King as it appears Ashley Wells has shaken off a knock and is likely to be available for the St Neots clash.

“We’re as ready as we’re ever going to be,” said a King. “Kyle may have slipped a disc and he is going to be missing, and Jamie has got a little tear in his groin from a tackle in training.

“We started pre-season and everyone was buzzing but it’s turned into a bit of a nightmare.

“But we know what we’ve got to go to St Neots and do and there won’t be any excuses from us.

“If people have got to play out of position then that’s what they have got to do.

“Injuries don’t help but we’ve still got a job to do and that’s getting something out of the game with the players we have.”

King also confirmed that Scott Walker will lead the side this season while as many as five summer recruits are set to be involved tomorrow.
