MAGPIES 2 WHITEHAWK 6

DANNY Mills struck five times for the Hawks as the Magpies were hit for six on a remarkable afternoon at the Avenue.

The hosts were left stunned after the visitors surged into a 5-1 lead at half-time with Mills getting four of his side's goals.

Neither team had picked up a point or scored a goal in their first two Skrill South outings so no-one could have expected the match to pan out as it did.

Mills put the Hawks in front before Nick Crittenden levelled only for the Sussex outfit to go straight down the other end and James Frazer made it 2-1.

After that it was the Mills show as the attacking midfielder completed his hat-trick and grabbed his fourth before the break.

The second-half was a lot quieter until Mills got his fifth three minutes from the end.

Ben Watson slid in a late consolation for the Magpies who go to Gosport Borough on Monday.
