WRESTLING: Robbie Nitro retains middleweight crown

Dorset Echo: BEST FOOT FIRST: Robbie Nitro connects with Steel Cannon BEST FOOT FIRST: Robbie Nitro connects with Steel Cannon

ROBBIE Nitro is still the Dorset middleweight champion after defeating Steel Cannon in a title fight at the Riviera Hotel in Weymouth.

Cannon failed to spark as he was put in his place by home favourite Nitro who held on to his belt in the charity wrestling event.

The contest was one of several on the bill on a night when a superb sum of £610 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.

While Nitro remained the middleweight king of Dorset, the winner of the big battle royale was Charleston. That made up for his defeat to Brothers Org, Otis and Alfie.

Mike Madness saw off the challenge of Simon Harding and Sidewinder Mikey Richards beat Marcus Graves.
