ROSIE Russell had great success at the National Schools Equestrian Association Championships in Milton Keynes.

The Thomas Hardye School pupil, 13, starred in the dressage, arena eventing and show jumping disciplines at Addington Manor.

Riding a different horse in each event – Skye’s The Limit, Candy Man and Dereen Breeze – the youngster finished as the reserve champion in both the dressage and arena eventing, also known as jumping with style.

After her fantastic achievement, Russell said: “I have been lucky enough to compete at Addington for the last two years but I have never achieved a result like this.

“It was a great atmosphere with 500 competitors from all over Great Britain.

“We had severe gales on the weekend so I was very grateful the organisers managed to continue with the competition.

“I would like to thank The Thomas Hardye School for making this possible for me and I am so proud to represent them at this level.”
