BRENDON King has warned several of his men that they are now playing for their Weymouth careers.

The Terras host St Albans this afternoon (3pm) before travelling to Hitchin Town on Monday and nothing less than a huge response will be good enough for their frustrated boss.

King, whose side lost 7-0 at Stourbridge last weekend, told Echosport: “We talked to the lads on Thursday night and spoke about pride and putting things right in the two massive games coming up.

“It’s very much up to them now because if we don’t see a reaction we will be acting accordingly.

The Terras are expected to be without several key men against the Saints but the Walker brothers should feature despite sitting out the midweek victory over Bridport in the Dorset Senior Cup.

King added: “There will be no Luke Winsper (ankle) or Jamie Symes (illness) and Dave Allen is suspended.

“Matt Harvey has been called into the squad while Carl McClements will get some minutes with the reserves.”

When asked about the task of facing two games in three days, King continued: “We have done it before, but obviously it is far from ideal and something we are not happy about.”

* The match sponsor for today’s match will be the Weymouth FC Safety Stewards.

* Weymouth reserve-team players Matt Harvey and Sean Zima have been called up to the Dorset Premier League squad for next Saturday’s FA Inter- Club Cup match against the Kent League (3pm).
