AURA secured their place in the final of the Dorset Sunday Intermediate Cup with a 3-1 victory over Poole Wanderers at Corfe Mullen Rec.

Harry Norman, Rory Zima and Oscar Preece scored the goals for Aura, with their opponents getting a consolation from the penalty spot after keeper James Parks was sent off.

However, it won’t be an all-Weymouth showpiece following a 3-0 defeat for Moby Dick’s in their semi-final against Pilot FC.

Meanwhile, Bar 314’s march towards the Weymouth Sunday League crown continues.

They thrashed Alexandra 6-0 at Budmouth to maintain their 14-point advantage at the top of the table.

With Aura involved in the cup, Britannia took the opportunity to move into second place with a thrilling 4-3 success at home to Lazy Lizard.

Their star man on the day was Stu Burley whose hat-trick, along with Jordy Bowler’s strike, gave the hosts all three points.

Bar 314 weren’t the only side to hit six on Sunday as Famous Old Spa eased to a 6-2 win against struggling Market House at Redlands.

Dolphin saw off Bakers Arms 4-2 to leapfrog Lazy Lizard into sixth in the standings.

Their victory was down to a pair of Charlies – Kenderdine and May – who both found the net twice.

Further down the table, Broad-mayne climbed to ninth thanks to a 3-2 home win against Sailors Return.
