TREVOR Senior has acted quickly to fill the void left by the departing Chris Luke and Max Buckler by welcoming brothers Adam and Jamie Symes back to Bridport.

Bees’ boss Senior has known the two siblings for a long time and is thrilled to have them both at St Mary’s Field again.

The brothers enjoyed spells at Bridport in the past and rejoin a club that finished this season 12th in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.

While Adam returns after a spell with Dorset League side Dorchester Sports, Jamie, pictured, links up with Senior again following a stint with Weymouth.

“Adam is a midfielder who can play at right-back or on the wing,” said Senior. “He’s a bit of a utility player with good feet and a good work rate.

“Jamie was only 14 when he played for me at Dorchester Town Under-18s.

“He is a talented player but hasn’t been playing for a few months so needs to get himself fit.”

Striker Lewis Clarke will also be at pre-season training after impressing Senior during Portland United’s Dorset Premier League title-winning campaign.

“I’m pleased Adam and Jamie are coming back and Lewis would give us something a bit different with his pace,” added Senior.

Meanwhile, Bridport were awarded the premier division’s Sports-manship Trophy at the Western League’s end-of-season presentation evening.
