WYKE REGIS hotshot Caitlin Stanley represented the Dorset and Wiltshire county team for the first time, with a mission to get invited to the upcoming Junior Masters.
Targeting her third junior master bowman score, the youngster, who attends All Saints school, scored an impressive 1,297 on a metric five round, setting a new county and regional record and booking her place in the Masters.
Stanley, who shoots for Osprey Archers, also scooped a trophy for the recurve score of the day.
Having only taken up the sport in February, it has been a great season for Stanley and she is bidding for more success in the future.
Proud of his daughter’s achievements, Caitlin’s father Mark Stanley told Echosport: “It is unbelievable just how much she has come on in the last six months with all the help from the club and from her uncle Roy, she has improved 10-fold.”
