Dorset Under-21 Development League
WEYMOUTH 4 DORCHESTER TOWN 0
WEYMOUTH kicked off their Dorset Under-21 Development League season emphatically with a 4-0 derby win over Dorchester Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
Mark Ford and former Magpie Josh Tennant were on the scoresheet twice in a performance that pleased Paul Mait-land, who oversaw the Weymouth XI.
He said: “In fairness to Dorchester they put out a very young side with all under-18s bar two whereas we had a very mixed squad.
“Levente Nage from our under-18s came in and put in a performance that wouldn’t have been out of place in the reserves, he looks a really good pros-pect.
“It was good for our progression and it’s nice to see that the lads in the reserves and the under-18s are comfortable in playing in the same way as the first team.”
