Under-15 Division One, DORCHESTER RAIDERS 1, WEYMOUTH 2.

WEYMOUTH were crowned champions after winning this title decider at the Avenue Stadium.

Needing a point to clinch the double the Terras had to fight off a determined challenge from second-place Dorchester.

The Raiders started much the sharper, putting the Terras under pressure right from the whistle.

The home team appealed for a penalty in the first couple of minutes but the referee was having none of it and waved play on after an inch perfect challenge by Robins in the Terras box.

The initial nerves settled and Weymouth almost took the lead when Williams saved a powerful shot from Frampton and Poole and Rutland tried to stab the eventual rebounds home but were denied.

Dorchester were quick on the break and Kellaway and Gould found Chance in space several times only for Frampton to avert the danger.

The second half saw Dorchester push forward and the visitors and were having to defend in numbers but once again the Weymouth back four of Frampton, Robins, Poole and Vincent held firm.

With Tribe working hard in the middle, it wasn't long before Weymouth broke again.

Clearing from a Dorchester corner Perrett ran three quarters of the pitch before rolling the ball into the path of Bulman who steered the ball around the advancing keeper to give his side the lead 10 minutes after the break.

With Dorchester needing to score twice it opened the game up again and Weymouth created several openings only to see the final shot balloon over the bar and even out of the ground on several occasions.

Dorchester again showed their resilience but Weymouth held firm and with 15 minutes left Reiffer split the defence with a diagonal pass which found Rutland. He hit a deep cross to find McKechnie unmarked at the back post to head down past a diving Williams to make it 2-0.

Dorchester pushed players forward and with a few minutes remaining Kellaway found himself in space on the edge of the area and, after drawing the defender in, drove the ball back across the visitors' goal for Trevett to steer the ball into the near corner to close the deficit.

Weymouth boss Tony Reiffer said: "To win the double is a fantastic achievement and one that the players will remember forever.

Their work rate, attitude and commitment has been incredible all season and their success this season comes as no surprise to me.

"I would like to thank Robbie Taylor and his players for their part in a fantastic day and Dorchester FC for their generous hospitality."
