BRADLEY Tarbuck insists he “enjoyed every moment” as a Dorchester Town player after announcing he would not be with the club next season.

The talented playmaker, a product of the youth system at Portsmouth, announced via social media that he is set to join Havant & Waterlooville for the upcoming campaign.

Commenting on his Avenue exit, the former Pompey man, who initially joined the Magpies on loan before agreeing a deal with the club last season, told Echosport: “Don’t get me wrong, it was a hard decision.

“I love all the boys and everyone at Dorchester, so it wasn’t the easiest decision I have ever had to make.

“I spoke to Jem and he understands because Havant is closer, he understood my decision and we were respectful to each other.

“I’d like to thank Mark Jermyn for giving me the opportunity and everyone involved at Dorchester, especially the boys.”

Tarbuck admitted it will be hard to walk away from what he believes is a close county town dressing room.

He added: “I enjoyed every moment at Dorchester to be honest.

“All the lads I have become close with. With the likes of Charlie Davis and people like that, I will miss them a lot and that will be the hardest part.

“I think that’s going to be one of the hardest things for me to walk away from.

“Obviously the injury killed me a little bit this season just gone but, other than that, I was quite pleased with this season and the season before.”

On his future with the Hawks, Tarbuck said: “Havant is a big club. It’s a still a good league at the same level and I want to play at the highest level possible. It is literally around the corner for me.”
