BRIDPORT manager Adam Fricker wants his side to show more consistency as they get set to take on fellow Dorset side Gillingham Town tonight at Hardings Lane (7.45pm).

The Bees battled back from a two-goal deficit on Saturday against Odd Down to earn a point.

Now, the manager hopes his side can perform throughout the 90 minutes.

Fricker told Echosport: “We have to start the sort of performances that we put out on Saturday from the beginning and I think the lads can do that.

“They play a different style to Odd Down, they like to get the ball down and play.

“So, we might have to adapt a bit.”

Not only will the Bees have to adapt their method, they will also be without a handful of players for the Gillingham test, who are a side that haven’t won in the league this season.

Adam Barrett limped off on Saturday and is a doubt for the game, as is Matt Condliffe, who has picked up a hip injury.

However, striker Mark Salter is set to return after missing the weekend’s draw. Also back in contention is Braden Symes.

The Bees was also buoyed by the return of club captain Ryan Hayter, who played for the reserve side on Saturday. He is unlikely to be rushed back into the first team fold for tonight’s game.
