PORTLAND United manager Simon Browne has said it is annoying that players are leaving to join Hamworthy United, with Jamie Beasley expected to become the third Portland player to join the Hammers this season.
Chris Clarke and Max Buckler are the other two players to have joined Brendon King’s men this season but Browne has said that Beasley will be replaced.
Browne said: “It is just annoying that they keep taking my players away which I would rather they didn’t.”
Beasley’s last goal for the Blues came in a 4-2 win against Verwood Town in the Dorset Senior Cup quarter-finals.
Browne admitted it was disappointing to lose the winger.
He said: “I am disappointed to lose Jamie because he can be a good player and a match winner on his day.
“I don’t want anyone at the club who doesn’t want to be there. I wish him well and we’ll move on and get someone in to replace him. I’m not going to lose sleep over it.”
