DORCHESTER captain James Dunham anticipates one of the “hardest” matches this season when his side visit Poole Town in their keenly-awaited Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League clash at Poole Park tomorrow (1pm).

Both sides have made perfect starts to the league campaign with three wins from three, but Dorchester currently lead the standings on 58 points, having taken 30 wickets for 272 runs this season and losing just nine wickets.

But Dunham is wary of tomorrow’s hosts and backed his players to adapt to the notoriously unpredictable conditions at Poole Park.

He said: “The last few years us and Poole have been there or thereabouts.

“They’ve got some very good individual players, so it will be interesting and should be a good game. It’s probably one of the hardest fixtures to go there.

“They’re good at home but we’re a good enough side to go and give them a good game, we’ve got the individual players to test them.”

He added: “We’ve spoken about the pitch at Poole, it can be anything really. We’ll have to assess it when we get to the ground and decide what we want to do.

“All the new boys have been told what it can be like, and everyone has got the ability to adapt which is very beneficial at Poole.”

Dorchester are set to make two changes to the side that defeated Bere Regis last time out, with Will McKay and Sid Cavallaro replacing Bharat Popli (unavailable) and Josh Foot.
