WEYMOUTH attended Exmouth’s first ever regatta and the squad worked hard to gain second place overall, behind Bridport who won every heat.
In very warm and humid conditions for racing the ladies’ veterans’ A and B crews came second.
The men’s A team and the mixed crew achieved fourth, while the men’s veterans came sixth and the men’s B team came fifth.
In the Jurassic results, Weymouth remain in third place but have narrowed their point difference with second place holders, Swanage.
Bridport are currently first, while Swanage are second with 58 points and Weymouth sit third with 54 points.
Squad captains and cox’n’s were very proud of their crews and their great racing effort on the day.
Weymouth continue their busy gig rowing season with the Langstone Regatta and a race around Hayling Island next followed by the Ilfracombe Regatta.
