DORCHESTER captain James Dunham is targeting nothing less than a win against Shroton in their Dorset Funeral Plan Premier League battle at the Fairfield tomorrow (1pm).

Dunham’s men are battling leaders Wimborne & Colehill, who they meet next week, and Poole for the title, and feels anything other than four wins from their four remaining games could see their hopes of silverware evaporate.

He told Echosport: “We’ve got four games left and obviously we have to win all of them.

“We’ve got half an eye on Wimborne next week but if we don’t win this one, that doesn’t matter.”

Looking to Shroton, Dunham is respectful of their attacking talent.

“I quite like playing at Shroton, it’s quite a scenic ground and it’s got quite a big hill. It could be seen as a big home advantage, but it’s not a bad place to go.

“They’ve got a few scores over 220, which is not an easy thing to do in cricket. All teams have got individuals to take games away from you – they’ve certainly got that with bat and ball.

“But we’re on a good run and in a positive frame of mind,” he said.

Will and James Caldwell, plus Dan Belt, are unavailable, with George Foot, Jack Owens and Todd Richards coming in.
