WEYMOUTH golfer Jon Bevan and Duncan Muscroft will lead the charge for Great Britain & Ireland when the PGA Cup gets underway this morning.

Bevan (Wessex Golf Centre) and Muscroft (Montecchia Golf Club, Italy) have been paired together by team captain Gary Alliss for the opening fourball matches and will face the American duo of Tim Thelen and Lee Rinker.

Midlands duo Paul Wesse-lingh, competing in his fifth PGA Cup, and youngest member of the 10-man team James Whatley will come face-to-face with Mike Small and Alan Schulte.

North-East duo Craig Good-fellow and Micheal Nesbit will face Chip Sullivan and Ron Philo Jr, while Ireland's John Dwyer and Danny Taylor of Lichfield will come up against Ryan Benzel and Don Yrene.

The pairings were announced at the official opening ceremony of the 23rd PGA Cup, which is being held at the Oconee Course in Greensboro, Georgia.
