PORTLAND United manager Dave Kiteley is looking forward to playing in front of home support again after three weeks away from Grove Corner.

The Blues host Wincanton Town tomorrow (3pm) in the Dorset Premier League, after a week off was followed by a successful trip to Gillingham Town last weekend.

He said: "It's nice to be back at home, we've been playing very well there so far this season and hope-fully we can keep it going tomorrow."

The islanders have won three out of three at Grove Corner while tomorrow's visitors haven't won since the opening day of the season.

But the Blues' boss is not taking anything for granted, adding: "We beat them comfortably the last time we met but only because we took our chances.

"Wincanton are a good side and I expected them to be doing better than they are right now.

"We have to make sure we stamp our authority on the game and remain switched on otherwise we could get punished."

This week has seen four players come and go from the island. Midfielder Scott Oliver has left for university while winger Matt Moores has joined Broadmayne.

But the Blues have bolstered their squad with the signings of former Weymouth and Bridport youngster Callum Ross-Jennins from Hamworthy United and former Weymouth reserve team player Paul Lambert.

Kiteley added: "Callum wasn't getting regular football so he has decided to come down here, he's got great ability and is still only a young lad. Paul is a versatile player who is very much underrated, as a manager you know what you are going to get from him.

"Also John Lamb's return to fitness is like a brand new signing for us so although we have lost players we have managed to strengthen the squad."

Ross-Jennins' registration has not been completed in time for him to feature tomorrow but Lambert is available for selection. Michael Walker has recovered from the breathing problems that saw him substitiuted in the 3-2 win over Gillingham.
