IT’S all change at Weymouth Cricket Club as all-rounder Lloyd Beals becomes the Seasiders’ new captain for the 2023 season.

Following the club’s AGM, Beals comes in as successor to Harry Mitchell, who steps down to a playing capacity after five years at the helm.

Beals, Weymouth’s player of the season in 2022, will be joined by former first-team skipper Tom England, who assumes the vice-captaincy post vacated by Beals.

Along with Mitchell, second-team skipper Andy Jarvis is also stepping away from his position after leading his side to the County Division Six title.
