BRIDPORT are looking to get back to winning ways with a home clash against Bishops Lydeard this evening (7.45pm).

The Bees, who will be without unavailable boss Chris Herbst for this fixture, won six straight games in the South West Peninsula League Premier East.

However, their 1-1 draw with Cullompton and subsequent 4-3 loss at Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police ended their perfect and unbeaten league runs respectively.

And now assistant Mark Lock is looking to get back onto the winning train, with Bridport still occupying second place behind leaders Ivybridge.

He said: “That’s what we want to do. We’ve got to reset and start afresh.

“It was a lack of working together as a team, we were a bit disjointed and off the pace. Hopefully we can regenerate back.

“Once you start the process you want to keep it going, but we’re in a bit of a rut at the moment.

“It’s only Ivybridge at the moment who are not conceding many and scoring a few.”

Bridport are without skipper Luke King, Darren Lock and George Wyrill for the clash against Lydeard, but Jake Mansley and Jake Childs earn call-ups from the reserves.
