OLU Durojaiye’s future at Weymouth is uncertain after personal reasons kept him out of the 3-3 draw with St Albans City.

The central defensive midfielder, who has registered two assists in 27 appearances for Weymouth, was absent from the Terras’ squad on Tuesday evening.

And, when questioned on Durojaiye’s omission, boss Bobby Wilkinson revealed the ex-Falkirk, Welling and Haringey maestro could face an extended period away from the club.

Wilkinson told Echosport: “His mum’s seriously ill. He wants to be closer to home.

“We think he might go and get some local football to be around his home, he’s struggling travelling on a Friday night.

“He needs to look after his kids and his mum’s just had a serious operation.

“As soon as he came and spoke to me, I had to accept that, no problem.”

Asked if Durojaiye was likely to quit Weymouth, Wilkinson replied: “We don’t know, the door’s open for him.

“Right now, he wants to be closer to home, so I’ll leave it at that for the time being.”
