PROMISING keeper Steve Boore is ensuring his "feet are kept on the ground" despite being tracked by a host of top name clubs.

The Yeovil Academy gloveman, who attends Budmouth School, has attracted interest from Premier League Everton and other sides but insists he will not be getting carried away.

The 15-year-old said: "I've heard about the interest and been informed by my manager who said there were several clubs interested.

"But I've come straight to Yeovil after playing for Chickerell United from the age of nine up to under-15s so I've just got to keep my feet on the ground, continue playing my football and go from there.

"If I keep working hard then hopefully I'll earn a contract with Yeovil's youth team."

The teenager has also received a boost in the way of training with the Glovers' first team.

He added: "My time at Yeovil has been going well. In fact, after coming back off tour with the Academy team I was dragged into first team training recently, so to meet all the players was great."

Although the majority of young hopefuls fail to make the grade and reach the elite level of football, Boore does dream of where he would like to be should he cut the mustard.

He said: "I've got family in Manchester so if I did progress further then I'd like to move up there one day."
