STRIKER Pierre Joseph-Dubois is determined to keep hold of his place in Weymouth's starting XI.

The 20-year-old has netted twice in the Terras' last three games and has shown no ill-effects from the hamstring injury that kept him out of action earlier in the campaign.

With Stuart Beavon also having returned to fitness and Chris McPhee and Michael Malcolm showing consistent form, boss John Hollins now has a nice selection headache up front ahead of Saturday's visit of Eastbourne Borough.

Joseph-Dubois said: "It has been great being out there playing again.

"I was involved in the opening few games but then my hamstring got tight and I had to spend a few weeks out strengthening it up.

"I am still working on it now but I have been back in the team for the past couple of weeks and I am really enjoying myself. Hopefully I can now stay in the team and continue scoring a few at the same time."

The Terras ended a seven-game winless streak on Saturday by claiming a 3-2 win at Northwich Victoria, a victory that moved them up four places in the Blue Square Premier to 14th spot, just five points off the play-off positions.

Joseph-Dubois added: "We had not won for a while so it was a good result. It was a great goal from James Coutts that won it for us and it certainly made the long journey home a bit more enjoyable.

"To be fair we have been playing well over the last couple of weeks and creating lots of chances but at times we perhaps have not had that little bit of luck which you need.

"I have played up front with Michael Malcolm, Chris McPhee and Stuart Beavon and all of them are very good players and the fact we are making lots of openings as a team makes our jobs a lot easier.

"The league is very tight and there are not a lot of points between everyone so if we can build on Saturday's win and put a little run together it should put us in a decent position and set us up for a good season."
