WEST Dorset Warrior Tiffany Knight is celebrating winning no less than six medals, including two gold, at the Disability Sports Events short course National Championships held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Knight excelled in the 400m freestyle to capture gold in a personal best time and with it the title of National Champion.

Knight also touched first in the 50m freestyle event and went on to clinch a lifetime best in the 100m butterfly to claim silver.

She also won silver in the 50m freestyle and the 100m individual medley, and took bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Janet Hewitt, head coach of West Dorset Swimming Club, said: “I’m delighted for Tiffany to have come home with so many medals from the nationals – it’s a real achievement.

“She should be especially pleased to have got two personal bests as those are hard to come by at national events.”

Medals were awarded within each disability classification and Knight was competing in the S10 category.

Janet Hewitt added: “Tiff is a conscientious and dedicated swimmer and deserves heartfelt congratulations all round.”
