DORCHESTER will be crowned Dorset & Wilts One South champions tomorrow should they win at Warminster (3pm).

Mike Sprules’ side are three points clear of second-placed Bridport following victory in last Saturday’s crucial clash between the league’s top two.

And with two fixtures to go, the county town outfit need just one more victory to secure the title and gain an immediate return to Southern Counties South.

But head coach Sprules has warned his charges not to rest on their laurels.

He said: “Hopefully we’ll do the job at Warminster because it would take the pressure off the last game of the season.

“Last Saturday was good and it was one of the best all-round performances we’ve given but we don’t want to rest on our laurels because there’s a job still to be done.”

Stephen Hodgson, who is carrying a shin injury, is expected to drop to the bench with Rich Boyt coming in to replace him.

Bridport coach Paul Ninnim, whose men travel to Swanage & Wareham Seconds tomorrow (3pm), fully expects Dorchester to go on and win the title so is keen to see his side hang on to their second-placed status.

He said: “I can’t see Dorchester losing the last two games even though Swanage & Wareham Seconds will give them a battle on the last day.”

Weymouth, although out of the race for the title, will have their sights set on pipping Bridport to a second-placed finish so victory at mid-table North Dorset Seconds tomorrow (3pm) is a must.

Puddletown, who virtually guaranteed their survival with victory over rock bottom Wimborne Seconds last weekend, aim to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they host Salibsury Seconds tomorrow (3pm).

Swanage & Wareham face a test of their credentials tomorrow as South West Two East leaders Maidenhead visit Bestwall (3pm).
