CHICKERELL boss Maurice Welch is anticipating a very tough task at Days Park tomorrow when his side takes on in-form Swanage Town & Herston in the Dorset Premier League (3pm).

The second-placed Swans have won their last four games, including a stunning 4-0 victory at fellow high-fliers Hamworthy Recreation, but the Chickens will not be fazed by that as they have not lost in their last seven.

Welch said: “Along with leaders Portland United, Swanage are one of the most in-form sides in the league at the moment so I am expecting a very tough game.

“We have not played them yet this season so we do not know too much about them. All I know is that they had some funny results at the start of the campaign but in the last couple of months they have come good, so we will have to make sure we keep our good performances going if we are to come away with something.”

The Chickens will have a near full-strength squad to choose from for the encounter.

Welch added: “Graham Biles is back available and so is Craig Roper but he will probably play for the thirds tomorrow as I don’t think he is quite ready.

“With the return of Ashley Weeks in goal, and Jamie Sibley, who has missed the last couple of weeks through injury, we are pretty much at full strength now, which is very encouraging ahead of the run-in to the end of the season.”

Sixth-placed Chickerell are currently nine points adrift of the top three but they do still hold games in hand on four of the five teams above them.
