IAN Hutchinson’s Bees will be looking for a return to winning ways with two games to negotiate in the space of four days.

Bridport visit lowly Shepton Mallet tomorrow (3pm) before hosting Clevedon United at St Mary’s Field on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

And they enter the trip to Shepton on the back of a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Toolstation Western League Division One leaders Larkhall Athletic.

But both Mallet and Clevedon sit below Bridport in the table so should provide a good opportunity to pick up six points.

And the Bees have already enjoyed success over both sides this season. Back in October, two late goals from Chris Senior saw them defeat Shepton while another last-gasp effort, this time from Dan Wise, helped Bridport to victory over United in February.

The two fixtures could prove crucial in their bid to attain a top-10 finish.

Hutchinson said: “I’m still looking for a top half finish and these games are ones we should be capable of winning.

“I’m pleased with the squad I have but a little more confidence up front will see more goals and in turn the results will also come.”

Hutchinson has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the fixtures but will be without the services of the Russell Legg, who is suspended. Harry Fleet is expected to return to the fold after regaining full fitness.

Bridport Reserves return to Dorset Premier League action tomorow with the visit of Poole Borough (3pm).

Mike Savage’s charges will be looking for another high-energy performance after winning through to the final of the Dorset Senior Trophy courtesy of a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Weymouth Sports.
