DORSET were unable to complete an impressive comeback as they eventually went down to Shropshire on the third and final day.
Day two closed with Shropshire on 143-8 and the visitors managed to reach 167 before they were skittled out, but leading by 254.
The hosts were still in with a shout but hopes were soon dashed as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Dorset were 94-9 with defeat staring them in the face. A 63 partnership between Paul Warren and Dave Payne provided some consolation but the damage was done.
