WEYMOUTH YOUTH 24 WEYMOUTH TERRAS 0

THE two Weymouth sides met in what proved to be a one-sided game at Redlands, with the less experienced Terras up against it from the start as they only had 10 players available for this tough fixture.

Within two minutes, Georgia Rogers showed great vision to spot Rachel Pedder in space on the edge of the box, who rifled in an unstoppable strike to open Youth’s account.

Jody Urwin doubled the score when she powered home from close range with her less-favoured right foot and Bianca Randall set up the third with a teasing ball across the box, which Rogers fired into the net.

Shortly after, Randall claimed her first of nine with a trademark run through the defence and a typically clinical finish.

Lydia Harvey, back in goal for the Terras after several weeks out injured, pulled off some fantastic saves but was unable to prevent Randall claiming two more in quick succession to claim her first hat-trick.

Some brilliant passing movement between Rogers, Bryony Webb and Lucy Pinder down the left side and Urwin and Pedder on the right created chances, which were snapped up by Chloe Halsall, Pinder and Randall to put Youth in a commanding lead.

Pinder claimed her hat-trick before Randall collected a perfectly-weighted ball from Halsall and put it beyond the keeper’s reach.

The Terras broke from deep in their own half and were unlucky not to score when their well-worked move was thwarted by some instinctive footwork by Zoë Forward in the Youth goal.

The action swung back to the other end when Ellen Tilsed sent a long ball forward for Halsall, who ran through the middle and placed it in the bottom corner.

Youth showed no mercy in the second half as Randall collected another two to add to her already impressive tally.

Webb showed her classy ball skills by twisting and turning before releasing a cracking strike that flew into the corner of the net.

Jess Taylor came out of defence to join the attack and was rewarded with two goals.

Randall took her tally to nine with two well-taken strikes.

Pinder claimed another with a fierce shot and Rachel Sykes added her name to the scoresheet with three good efforts in the last 10 minutes to complete an easy victory for Youth.
