SUNNINGHILL duo Caspar Bailey and George Foot are celebrating after being named in the Wessex Prep Schools rugby squad.

The talented youngsters will join 20 other players from the Dorset and Wiltshire region to take on rivals teams from the likes of Devon and East Dorset.

And the Year Eight pupils’ achievement has been hailed by the head of rugby at Sunninghill Prep School, Ian Stazicker.

He said: “They’ve been selected for the Wessex Prep Schools squad, which is made up of the best players from prep schools in both Dorset and Wiltshire.

“There is a squad of 22 players and we have two from our school in George and Caspar. George has been playing full-back while Caspar can play a couple of positions but is mainly a scrum-half.

“They will play half a dozen matches between now and the end of the season against teams from the likes of Devon, Poole and East Dorset.

“I’ve been working here for four years and it’s the first time that I’ve seen any of our pupils named in the squad.

“Caspar has been in the Dorset & Wilts team before and the two of them are very good sportsmen in general.”
