JOHN Gregory will be out to claim the Dorset Sunday Junior Cup tomorrow when they take on LV FC at the Avenue Stadium (10.30am).

The Southill outfit are unbeaten in their last four games and will go into the clash full of confidence after knocking out AFC HADCA in the semi-finals, who currently sit five points ahead of LVFC in Division Five of the Bournemouth Haywards Sunday League.

The John Greg are also still in with a shout of claiming promotion from the Weymouth Sunday League Championship but need fellow contenders Alexandra and SAS to both slip up in their remaining three fixtures.

However, with a double header against the latter coming up next week, they will still feel like they have a good chance despite having to face runaway champions Quayside in their final game.

Third-placed SAS, who will tackle the John Greg next Thursday and Sunday, also face a tricky clash tomorrow against in-form Rock at the Marsh.

The Abbotsbury Road side has picked up some fantastic results of late including a hard-fought 3-3 draw against the Quay.

The title winners will host Old Castle at the same venue while the second-placed Alex will visit Dolphin at Redlands. The Chick-erellers have arguably the easier run in on paper but they will be taking nothing for granted.

The other two games in the bottom flight will see Medics Away and Market House lock horns at Sandringham and Old Ship go head-to-head with Broadmayne at Redlands.

It is also all about the runners-up spot in the Premiership with Duke of Albany requiring a point from their last game of the season against Rodwell at Redlands to leapfrog current incumbents Tuatara.

The T-Bar’s campaign has already ended but the Duke will not have it easy against the 2009-10 champions, who will be keen to secure a top-four finish, particularly after sealing a spot in the Len Mahoney Cup final last weekend.

A victory by seven goals or more would also see Rodwell go above the Duke on goal difference but they will also know that defeat or a draw and a heavy win for Britannia against New Inn at the Piggery would see them drop to fifth.

The other curtain closer in the division tomorrow will see champions Rendezvous host Weyline at Budmouth in a dead rubber.
