BOTH the Dorset FA and the Somerset FA are investigating the unsavoury scenes that took place in the recent Magna Dorset Premier League clash between Weymouth Reserves and Westland Sports at the Bob Lucas Stadium.

The police had to be called to the match after a melee, which involved people associated with both clubs, ensued at the final whistle.

The Terras won last Wednesday night’s game 2-0 after Sports had a player dismissed and three other officials sent from the dugout.

The DPL has since released the following statement on its official website: “The league management committee is aware that there were problems at the Weymouth Reser-ves versus Westland Sports match. However, no action can be taken at this time.

“The DPL reserves the right to readdress the issue once all relevant information is available and the respective County FAs have acted, or not as the case may be.”
