TREVOR Senior has called for “more of the same” ahead of Bridport’s trip to struggling Corsham Town (3pm).

The Bees showed tremendous character last weekend to fight their way back from 3-1 down before running out 5-4 victors at lowly Radstock.

Defeat could have pulled the West Dorset outfit into a relegation dogfight but Senior’s men now sit 10 points clear of second-bottom Corsham.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s encounter, the boss said: “It’s a case of more of the same really. We have just got to concentrate on keeping a clean sheet.

“The goals we scored last Saturday were the first from open play since December 3 and although scoring five goals away from home is very good, the four we conceded were a bit sloppy.

“It’s pleasing that we did come from behind but we need to try and tighten up. The defence have been playing okay but the goals we conceded on Saturday were ones we could have avoided.”

Bridport marked their return to the Toolstation Western Premier Division with a 1-0 win over tomorrow’s opponents back in August, and Senior is eyeing another double after claiming six points from their two games against Radstock.

He added: “We struggled to a 1-0 win but the first game of the season is always nervy. The most important thing was to get off to a good start, which we did.

“Hopefully we will win tomorrow and get our second double of the season, after doing the same against Radstock.

“If results go our way we will be in touch with the teams directly above us, including Street, who we play next weekend.”

Chris Senior (calf) is the only injury concern but his father is quietly confident of seeing the defender retain his place in the starting XI.

Trevor Senior said: “It’s improving so we’re hoping he will be fit to play. Other than that it should be the same squad as last week.”
