DORCHESTER Town Reserves travel to Verwood this evening (7.45pm) aiming to book their place in the knockout stages of the Wyvern Challenge Shield.
With three points from their opening two games in Group A, the Magpies are well aware that anything less than victory could spell the end of their challenge.
However, Robbie Taylor’s men are in buoyant mood following successive wins.
The reserve-team boss said: “We are getting more games in and everyone is getting a chance. Hopefully we can carry on in the same vein tonight.
“I doubt we’ll have any first-team players as they played last night, so it’s a good chance to get the youngsters involved again.
“Their attitude has been spot on recently. We have a good team spirit and they go into games in a good frame of mind. They are focused now and that has been the big difference in the last few weeks.”
Discussing his side’s chances of progressing from the group stage, Taylor added: “The winner from each group goes through, as well as the best three runners-up, so we have still got a chance of carrying on in this competition.
“It’s not doom and gloom if we don’t get through, it’s just nice to get a few more games in.”
