DANNY Andrews took his tally to 36 goals as Weyline continued their quest for a historic treble with a 6-3 victory over Tuatara Bar in Group B of the Weymouth Sunday League Cup.

Adam Parker’s men went in front on 20 minutes when Andrews played in Lee Pattison, who somehow threaded the ball under the advancing Pete Cowne.

A bizarre own goal involving Nigel Evans and James Parkes then brought the T-Bar back level before Andrews restored the lead from the spot after being upended in the box by Marco Nott.

After the break, Ben Mackie and James Aldom replaced Pattison and Josh O’Connor for Weyline, who went on to extend their advantage on 51 minutes when Andrews’ near-post flick enabled Evans to poke home.

Andrews then grabbed his second with a fine lob from 25 yards to make it 4-1 before another own goal saw Lee Thompson slice a shot from Chris Sweetser-Hawkes into the net to give Tuatara a ray of hope.

However, Weyline were in full flow now and two more goals soon followed with Dan McDonald setting up substitute Ethan Devaney for the fifth and Sean Stewart bagging the sixth following some neat touches from Arron McDonald.

Charlie May then grabbed a third consolation for T-Bar with eight minutes remaining but it failed to take any of the gloss off what was another superb win for the Premiership leaders and Dorset Sunday Intermediate Cup finalists.

The two teams clashed yet again on Tuesday night – in league action – and this time Tuatara came from behind on three occasions to earn a share of the spoils.

Weyline made the best possible start when they took the lead inside the first minute, Andrews playing in skipper Adam Schofield to bury home.

T-Bar grabbed their first equaliser six minutes before the break when a cross from Jason Pearce was converted by Phil Anderson at the far post.

But the table-toppers edged ahead once more in the second half with Andrews again setting up Schofield. Another Anderson header restored parity just a minute later, only for Weyline to forge ahead for a third time when Stewart skipped past Tom Grattidge and unleashed an unstoppable effort from 25 yards.

Weyline thought they had done enough to secure victory but T-Bar poured forward in the dying moments and grabbed a dramatic leveller late on.
