CHICKERELL United will lock horns with title-chasing Westland Sports at Cranford Avenue tonight (6.30pm).

The Chickens have lost seven of the eight games they have played against the top-four sides in the Magna Dorset Premier League this season, and they are likely to have their work cut out again this evening against a Yeovil outfit that are currently on an unbeaten run of 24 games in all competitions.

That fantastic form has seen second-placed Sports claim the Dorset Premier League Cup and move within five points of leaders Portland United with five games in hand.

Victory tonight could also take the Somerset side four points clear of reigning champions Hamworthy Recreation in third, who appear to be their biggest challengers in the race for the title.

Bridport Reserves are also in action this evening at St Mary’s Field where they will take on Swanage Town & Herston (7.30pm).
