THE British Olympic Association Olympic Qualification Standards Panel has refused to ratify Sport Taekwondo UK's decision to omit Dorchester's Aaron Cook from Team GB for the forthcoming Games.

The unanimous and historic decision was reached after a meeting was held with representatives of British Taekwondo and its performance division.

The panel has now written to Sport Taekwondo UK and requested that it reconvene its selection committee at the earliest opportunity.

Cook, who is the European Champion and set to be world number one in the under-80k category, was left out of the squad for London 2012 in favour of Lutalo Muhammad.
