HOME runner Ben Davis put in an impressive display to claim overall glory at this year’s Egdon Easy.
The Egdon Heath Harrier was the first to cross the finish line at Weymouth College, completing the 10k course in a time of 33mins 45secs.
And he finished almost two minutes ahead of his nearest rival – Paul Rose (35.21).
Rose’s Yeovil Town RRC team-mate Mark Wills came third in 36.14 to ensure the Somerset outfit were crowned top team.
Completing the top five were Watford Joggers’ Paul Warrell (36.31) and Tri-Anglia Triathlon’s Gavin Barron (37.33).
Sandra Bowers of Winchester & District was the first lady across the line with a time of 40.59, which put her 21st overall, but the team honours went to Egdon Heath thanks to the efforts of Tracey Baker (43.52), Rebecca Pidgeon (43.59), Josie Wait (45.23) and Meggie Crane (46.19).
Two hundred runners completed the course, which starts and finishes at the college while also taking in the paths and cycle ways around Weymouth’s Lodmoor Nature Reserve.
