BATTING star Darren Cowley is confident Dorset have the personnel to help fill the gap in his trophy cabinet.
The big hitter is set to line up when Dorset host Cumberland at Dean Park in tomorrow’s MCCA Trophy semi-final (11.30am).
A long-serving member of the county side, Cowley has twice triumphed in the MCCA Championship during his 13-year Dorset career.
He has yet to taste success in the one-day competition but believes 2012 could be the year he adds that title to his collection.
Cowley said: “The majority of the team have won the Championship.
“We have got the Championship medal but not the one-day medal, which is a big one to have.
“We have definitely got the team to do it.
“Nobody is standing out and we are just playing really well as a unit. We are just a good, solid team. Everyone really gels.”
Cowley, who turns 36 in October, has been named in Dorset’s 12-man squad after scoring a half-century in the last round against Cheshire.
Dorset have recalled three one-day regulars as they look to keep a consistency in their selection.
Chris Jones, Mark Wolstenholme and Scott Barlow have replaced Charlie Esson, James Hayman and Ben Ladd-Gibbon.
Spin-king Jack Leach is also in the squad but Rupes Kitzinger is unavailable.
The county will select the starting XI on the morning of the match.
Dorset (from): N Park, Williams, Jones, Khan, Cowley, Hicks, C Park, Denham, Wolstenholme, Barlow, Leach, Wilson.
