WITH the weather relenting, the Weymouth Town Tennis Tournament looks to head outdoors to Greenhill tonight.
This week’s matches have been hit by the rain so far and have had to be played indoors at the Wey Valley Tennis Centre, In the latest round of games, Tom Legg overcame Ed Evans 6-0, 6-1 in the men’s singles.
Meanwhile, in the mixed doubles Glenda and Adam Fraser beat Caroline and Alan Cash 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, and Clif Moreton and Justin Smith cruised through against Matthew Brook and Paul Mason 6-0, 6-0 in the men’s doubles.
TONIGHT’S ORDER OF PLAY (Greenhill) 6pm: Carly Dean & Sarah Thomas v Kate Roberts & Jacqueline Mitchell, Caroline Cash & Rhose Lawes v Sophie Ramsbottom & Georgina Stickland, George Morrissey & Millen Hurrion v Clif Moreton & Justin Smith.
7.15pm: Carly Dean & Sarah Thomas v Sophie Ramsbottom & Georgina Stickland, Caroline Cash & Rhose Lawes v Kate Roberts & Jacqueline Mitchell, Alan Cash v Tom Legg.
