TICKETS have now gone on sale to see current world number one Mark Selby at an exhibition evening in Weymouth next year.

Snookes manager Mark Cottingham is staging the event, which will be held on Saturday, February 9.

He told Echosport: “Steve Davis has helped me arrange it and to have Mark and professional referee Michaela Tabb coming down is superb.”

Snookes, which is situated in Caroline Place in the town centre, has already played host to the likes of Davis, Dennis Taylor and John Parrott but Selby’s visit is expected to offer something a little different.

The Jester from Leicester has claimed two Masters’ titles, the Welsh Open and the Shanghai Masters in an impressive career that has also seen him reach a World final.

That run at the Crucible came in 2007 when he finished runner-up to John Higgins.
