THREE young members of Castle Cove Sailing Club (CCSC) excelled at the Topper Winter Regatta.
Held over a weekend, the juniors joined the competitive 5.3 Fleet which had more than 140 competitors.
The event was held at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy and in total, six races were completed.
It was first major Topper event of the year
Will Adler from CCSC had a fantastic weekend achieving a great set of results including a second, third and fourth place in a large and talented fleet.
On the overall results, the 14-year-old gained one of his top results ever. He finished in 11th with only minimal point differences between his result and the top-placed sailors.
Oliver Fellows also scored some good results and in one race, he placed in 17th. Overall, he finished in 68th position.
Joseph Stosiek completed three of the races. In one race, he achieved a 51st place. All three sailors represented the local club very well in some difficult conditions.
The next Topper event will be the National Series 3 at Datchet in April.
